Bad Influences of CO

WHO reported : Just 0.16% (1600ppm) CO can lead to death within 2 hours and only 1.28% (12800ppm,) can cause death within 1-3 minutes.
There are many hundreds of fatalities every year from Carbon Monoxide and just a small amount of Carbon Monoxide in your living area can cause major problems over time.
Carbon Monoxide is the  most toxic substance you'll come into contact with in your daily.
Carbon monoxide is a product of incomplete combustion of natural or petroleum gas. It is extremely toxic. It is invisible and odorless making it even more dangerous as it can only be detected by measuring devices.
Common sources of carbon monoxide in the home include faulty central heating systems, gas appliances and fires. Blocked flues and chimneys mean the gas can't escape and is inhaled by the unsuspecting individual.
When CO is present in the air, it rapidly accumulates in the blood, causing symptoms similar to the flu, such as headaches, fatigue, nausea, dizzy spells, confusion, and irritability. As levels increase, vomiting, loss of consciousness, and eventually brain damage or death can result.
Inhaling the gas reduces the blood's ability to carry oxygen, leaving the body's organs and cells starved of oxygen. It bonds with the haemoglobin and formed carbaminohaemoglobin in the red bloodcells thus reducing their capacity to carry oxygen around the bloodstream dramatically. Therefore if you breath in carbon monoxide in significant concentrations you asphyxiate and die.
In fact, people die every year from carbon monoxide poisoning without ever knowing what hit them. They simply slip in to unconsciousness and never come around, or they may already be asleep when they breathe in the carbon monoxide and simply never wake up again.
With large enough concentration it causes death. Unsuspected, when out of control, CO indoor air pollution can make you tired, put you to sleep and, if not stopped, then even kill you.
Carbon monoxide can result in brain damage, heart problems, major organ dysfunction, memory or cognitive problems, behavioural and personality changes and a range of other permanent problems.
